Future Projection of Precipitation Bioclimatic Indicators over Southeast Asia Using CMIP6

چکیده
Precipitation is a key meteorological component that directly related to climate change. Quantifying the changes in precipitation bioclimate crucial planning climate-change adaptation and mitigation measures. Southeast Asia (SEA), home world’s greatest concentration of ecological variety, needs reliable monitoring such changes. This study utilized global-climate models from phase 6 coupled model intercomparison project (CMIP6) examine variations eight bioclimatic variables over SEA for two shared socioeconomic pathways (SSPs). All indicators were studied near (2020–2059) far (2060–2099) futures provide better understanding temporal their uncertainty compared historical period (1975–2014). The results showed high geographical variability precipitation-bioclimatic SEA. mainland would experience more than maritime region. multimodel ensemble (MME) an increase mean annual rainfall 6.0–12.4% most except Philippines southern will be relatively less wettest month (15%) driest (20.7%) SEA; however, quarter by 2.85%, while decrease 1.0%. seasonal. In addition, larger area month, making vary geographically.

Projection of Future Precipitation Change over China with a High-Resolution Global Atmospheric Model
Projections of future precipitation change over China are studied based on the output of a global AGCM, ECHAM5, with a high resolution of T319 (equivalent to 40 km). Evaluation of the model’s performance in simulating present-day precipitation shows encouraging results. The spatial distributions of both mean and extreme precipitation, especially the locations of main precipitation centers, are ...
متن کاملDynamics of Interannual Variability in Summer Precipitation over East Asia*
The summertime mei-yu–baiu rainband over East Asia displays considerable interannual variability. A singular value decomposition (SVD) analysis for interannual variability reveals that precipitation anomalies over the mei-yu–baiu region are accompanied by in situ anomalies of midtropospheric horizontal temperature advection. Anomalous warm (cool) advection causes increased (decreased) mei-yu–ba...
متن کاملSpatial structures and directionalities in Monsoonal precipitation over South Asia
Precipitation during the monsoon season over the Indian subcontinent occurs in form of enormously complex spatiotemporal patterns due to the underlying dynamics of atmospheric circulation and varying topography. Employing methods from nonlinear time series analysis, we study spatial structures of the rainfall field during the summer monsoon and identify principle regions where the dynamics of m...
متن کاملGlobalization and Southeast Asia
In the 1990s Southeast Asia became prominent in discussions of globalization. Comparative studies often pointed to the region’s capitalist economies as exemplars of pro-globalization development strategies, countries whose economic and political fortunes have been tied (for better or worse) to a deepening embrace of global trade and investment. The region’s sudden economic reversal in 1997-98 c...
متن کاملHealth in southeast Asia.
Neglect of human rights that compromises health outcomes, the combination of high population density and domestic livestock that encourages zoonoses, claims over viral sovereignty, and an emphasis on health tourism that creates dual standards of care: too often health in southeast Asia is in the news for the wrong reasons. Today’s Lancet reports good news from the region as well as disappointme...
